Divisional Conclave of West Lancashire
5th September 2026 
 
On a very pleasant Saturday morning Rt. Ill Knight Graham Edwin Williams, Intendent General for West Lancashire welcomed the knights of the Division and their guests to Swinton Mason Hall  in readiness for the Annual Meeting.

On arrival many of the Knights where gathering in the bar lounge area where a game of find the cup had been arranged to entertain us before a coffee or tea for that matter could be obtained.
 
Once you worked it out and ‘purchased’ the cup you were free to help yourself and make yourself a brew, I didn’t bother working out what you needed to do to get a spoon, obviously well above my pay grade.

In no time at all the Marshal, Ill Bro Darren Brown called us to assemble in in the Temple changing into our regalia on route.

The processions which included Past Deputy Intendents General, Intendants General from other Divisions and other visiting Knights and it is nice to say there were a lot of them but they were soon seated and Graham was escorted into the Conclave by the Officers of the Division in fine form.
 
Graham opened the meeting and immediately welcomed by name all the visitors on the official lists, but only after re-investing his Deputy Intendant General Stephen Gregory, thanking him for all his hard work once again during the season.

Salutations over and the Prelate led us in solemn prayer as we paid tribute departed merit.
Ill Knight Geoff Jackson our Divisional Recorder then assisted Graham as he navigated through the usual administrative matters which need to be discharged at the meeting.
 
In quick time we were electing a new Treasurer as I’ll Kt. John Sarti was retiring after many years of service to the Division. I’ll Bro. Bill Bruce won the race, to be honest, I think it was fixed!

Then it was on the main Event the Investiture of the Eusebius P.Kt. Patrick Walsh who was taking over from Alex Prescott. New Generals were invested and the team methodically worked through. The Sepulchre Guard were appointed and presented to the Intendant General before Graham gave his address to all assembled.
A visiting Deputation from Lincolnshire
The Charites were honoured and  the meeting closed.
 
After a quick photoshoot we retired to a delightful meal served by the hall staff.
 
We were soon on our way home feeling content after a wonderful feast of Red Cross Masonry.
